Nepathya's Bandipur Concert Draws Hundreds on Valentine's Evening
A large-scale Nepathya concert at Bandipur's Tundikhel grounds drew a crowd of thousands, highlighting the hill town's growing potential as a hub for cultural and music tourism.
BANDIPUR — Popular band Nepathya performed a large concert at Bandipur's Tundikhel grounds on the evening of February 14, playing a 17-song set. While smaller musical events had been held in the hill town before, this marked its first large-scale concert.
Organizers estimated the crowd at nearly one-third of Bandipur municipality's population of around 19,000, with a large share of attendees travelling in from other regions.
Nepathya was joined on stage by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards. The show closed with the patriotic song "Rato Ra Chandra Surya."
Organizers say large-scale events like this help establish Bandipur as a hub for cultural and music tourism.
